Visitors Policy

A member of another u3a will be welcome to attend one of our monthly coffee mornings with a speaker but will only be able to be present at our AGM by paying the full subscription and becoming a valued member of our u3a.

In order to belong to and attend one of our Course/Interest Groups a member of another u3a must join as a full member of our u3a. They may however, provided a place is available, visit up to two sessions of any Group to confirm their interest before joining.

Before making such a visit the visitor must contact the relevant Group Leader to gain permission before attending. No additional charge is made for this other than the same charge that may apply to all Members of that Course/Group, i.e. For Room Hire, Refreshments etc.

A spouse or friend(s) of existing members may attend a maximum of two coffee mornings with speaker or two course/interest sessions without joining as a full member.

Thereafter, they will need to pay the full subscription for membership, plus in the case of a course or interest group, any charges which are paid by all members of that course/group i.e. for room hire and/or refreshments.

A registered carer for any paid-up member does not need to pay a subscription.
